Bristol, England | 4-Day Food Addiction Intensive | I presented evening recovery music performances for this 4-day residential treatment opportunity, led by renowned Food Addiction expert Bitten Jonsson. Participants learned about detoxing from sugar & flour, eliminating cravings and preventing relapse. They ate as recovering sugar/food addicts and become part of a bonded network of individuals recovering from food addiction. For clients and food addiction professionals to learn and grow together. Bristol, England | International Food Addiction Conference. This full-day conference, presented by the non-profit Public Health Collaboration (PHC), brought together many of the world's leading experts on Food Addiction Treatment. The conference ran from 8am to 6pm. I was scheduledto perform and present "The Art of Recovery" at 4:45pm, however my performance had to be cancelled due to a COVID infection. Other topics included keynote presentations, research study news, recovery protection, 12-Step recovery, and much more. I was open to professionals, interested members of the general public, food addicts in any stage of recovery, and people just wondering if food addiction might be an issue for themselves or a loved one.

Chesapeake, VA | 4-5:30 pm. Did you know that the vocal talents of my good friend Katie Duckett were fostered by many years of singing with the Virginia Children's Chorus (VCC)? That's right... if it weren't for rigorous training under the direction of VCC Chorus Founder and Artistic Director Carol Downing, Katie Duckett might not have turned out to be as ridiculously gifted as she is! I was Katie's supporting bandmate for three songs as part of the VCC's 30th Anniversary Celebration, entitled “My Own Song.” This special concert also featured VCC Alumni Jeanette Corey, Bennett Wales and Dowler Wheat with VCC Chorus performances as well. Norfolk, VA | 2-4pm, Solo performance aboard The American Rover for Outwire757's final cruise of the season! Join Outwire757 and all your friends for a fabulous floating party on the afternoon of Labor Day Sunday. Tickets are $25 for this 2-hour cruise. There will be a cash bar and bagged snacks available for purchase. And you're welcome to bring food/snacks of your own. In the event of inclement weather, tickets will be automatically validated for the designated rain date. The American Rover's red tanbark sails have been one of the signature sights on the Hampton Roads waterfront since 1986. The Rover has ample comfortable seating with shade topside. Below decks, you will find two smartly appointed climate-controlled lounges, ship’s store and bar, and clean, comfortable restrooms. Boarding begins at 1:30pm, and we depart promptly at 2pm.

Manteo, NC | 1-3pm, Solo performance at The Elizabethan Gardens. Singer/Songwriter Series: "The Elizabethan Gardens Presents Sundays at the Overlook." Enjoy live, original music in a spectactular natural setting. To be held rain or shine (inside in the Odom Building in the event of inclement weather.). These elaborate, internationally acclaimed gardens were designed to entertain Queen Elizabeth I during her reign. Tickets include Garden admission ($12 for adults, and less for children of various ages). They can be purchased here. A food vendor and cash bar will be available. Norfolk, VA. 7pm - 16th Annual ARTS for LIFE Celebration. This is an annual evening of entertainment to benefit the LGBT Life Center, held each year on National AIDS Day. I'm honored to be performing one song (solo) at this important event as part of an entertainment line-up which typically includes members of TRDance, Virginia Ballet Theatre, Workshop Theatre Group, Virginia Musical Theatre, Virginia Stage Company, and more. Performances begin at 7:00pm with pre and post-show cocktails (and a Silent Auction) at Gershwins, across the street.
